Pre-School Graduation

New(ish) bed

Okay, so the pictures will have to come down Taylor has to duck his head a little to get into the area under the bed but he can actually stand up and jump on his bed once inside. We have been looking into bunk beds for a while, but somehow it has seemed like an emergency lately. Josh wanted to build it after looking at the flimsy versions we saw in a reasonable price range. He designed this loft bed that securely hold Caleb's old bed on top and then bought a toddler bed at a garage sale to slip underneath. Both are having fun playing on it, but Taylor still chooses the crib to sleep in. hmmm. He has four weeks to change his mind. By the way, WAY TO GO JOSH! I have to say that I was skeptical about how sturdy it would be. Poor structural engineer Josh was very offended by that. Okay, I should have figured it would be great, but child safety and all of that. I guess if I was REALLY concerned about safety, we wouldn't be putting Caleb so far up in the air. Caleb reassures us...

Quick trip to Lowe's

It just so happens that Caleb was squeeky clean and had a new set of clothes on about an hour before this picture. ( He had been playing in the hose). SOOoooo.... anyway, we went on a quick trip to Lowe's after FHE and were going to stop and get ice cream on the way home. Unfortunately: 1. Caleb encounter some kind of white compound power. I think he sat down on it and then did some jumping on it. He was white head to toe when it happened. Even the employees were laughing at him. 2. Caleb encountered some floor. He was doing ninja moves and believe it or not he actually hit his face on the floor. (They should have a sign warning parents about the dangers of cement flooring in the building) Anyhow blood started spewing everywhere. Luckily some prepared parent handed us a tissue. The employees were at a loss and told us to "go to customer service." We left instead. No ice cream.

Kitchen Cabinets

It's as easy as 1-2-3! ( 1 ) ( 2 ) (3) ...and an entire year!

Anniversary Trip

Josh and I have been married nearly 6 years now. We decided to take our anniversary trip a little early because we will most likely have our baby right on or around our anniversary (June 20). Spring is the time to go to Deer Valley! We were able to get a Spring package at the Stein Eriksen Lodge that included dinner at the Glitretind. One of our favorite parts was the dinner. I wish I had pictures of the food because it was so beautiful. Here are some of the divine foods that gave our taste buds a little celebration: Seared Breast of California Qual , Hazelnut-Apple Bread Pudding, Petite Fennel, Raisin-Pedro Jimenez Jus Muscovy Duck à la Orange , Duck Fat Braised Potatoes, Romanesco, Oyster Mushrooms, Orange Sauce Braised Kobe Short Ribs , Celery Root Puree, Sunchokes, Broccoli Raab, Micro Celery Boniato yam soup with roasted marshmellows and pumpkin seeds Chocolate! Featuring Arisan Utah Chocolate by Amano, Ocumare Hot Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Cubes & Chocolate Gelato, Or...
