Missing Jenni

Eli Black Luke Moody My friend Jenni moved to Colorado last year and I have been sad about it ever since. When we found out we were moving to Texas I was really sad because Jenni had just found out she was moving to Mountain Home, Idaho, which is less than half the distance to Denver. I was sick inside that I wouldn't get to say good bye to her. Fortunately, she just happened to be in Utah the week we moved. I was so glad! We both just had little baby boys. They are about two weeks apart. It would have been so fun if we both lived in our old neighborhood. I think Jenni is so beautiful and I love her so much.

Needless to say...I am a little behind

Between this post and the last Josh interviewed at a job in San Antonio and received a great offer. We decided to make the move and three weeks later we were on the road with everything we own in the world. Yes! Many things happened in that three weeks. -We worked hard on fixing up the house to sell, including replacing light fixtures, touch up paint, patching walls, replacing bedroom carpet, fixing tile, planting flowers out front. - Listing our house, including picking a realtor, finding comparables, taking pictures - Blessing Elijah William Black - Packing up our house -Selling our house. The first people who looked at it made an offer. - My birthday - Saying good-bye to friends - Packing up our Penske - Josh's brother's wedding (Matt & Amanda) - Very tearful good-bye to family - Driving 3 days all day and late into the night to San Antonio Betsy, Laura, LaRee, Jenni, Julie Front: Madison, Jessica, Brittany, Allyson, Dianna All of Josh's...

Fourth of July

On July 3rd we had a delicious BBQ at Grandma and Grandpa Black's house, but I never took out my camera. On the 4th we went to Murray Fun Days, and then swimming at our pool with Nate & Kelly's family. Afterward we did fireworks in the street and our neighbors came out and sat on our lawn with us. Why don't I get better pictures? I catch about 1 out of 10 memories per event. Neighbors: Jesse, Misty, Paulette, and Robin Paulette and Robin shared their sparklers and then wrote their names in the air. So cute! Neighbor Tayden, cousins Adam, Ian, and Kanon I made a flag jell-0.

Our little Taylor

Sporting his new Easter clothes First swim this summer Vinyl lettering from Aunt Karen! cousin Adam shooting Taylor Relay race during Sunshine Holiday 2009 (Black family tradition) Our poor Taylor is feeling a little sad about baby Eli. To tell you the truth, I wasn't ready for Taylor to stop being the baby. I just thought I would do a little post about cute Taylor. One of the cute things Taylor does: We have a play area under our stairs that Taylor calls "the pace" (the secret place). Josh can't resist. As soon as Josh walks in the door Taylor runs to him and says, "Inna get in the pace daddy." On his way in he sends me a "defeated by the cute" look and gets in "the pace." Taylor's first joke: "knock knock...slime!" Some of Taylor's nick names: lunch face, Tay Tay, biscuit feet
