So, an update...

I am not really very sick anymore. I am kind of freaking out because I have gained 25-30lbs already. I decided I needed to eat healthier (now that I can stomach healthy) and start exercising. I am having to go phenomenally slow and it is driving me crazy. Especially walking next to my friend LaRee (old running partner) while she is running and training for a half marathon. I am trying to walk more than two miles. We are on treadmill if that was a little confusing. We were going to run the half marathon in St. George on Jan. 17th together, but after only a few weeks of training I got too sick to move. I got to the point that I could run 6-7 miles. Maybe next year.

I think he likes me

Caleb said to me... "I see someone who is fat. I see a mom that is fat." But After telling him about Jesus walking on water, he said, "mom you can do everything too." But After crawling in next to me in bed he said, "Something stinks. You stink." But This afternoon he randomly said, "mom, I love you." But Last week when I put on my dress for church he held up another skirt and said, "This is more your style." But That was just after he said "Oh! you look so beautiful." Caleb is very verbal and high strung. Everyday seems to end in stress decompression; usually involving a pillow over my head. But by the time he is asleep (1-2 hours of parent manipulation) I want to cry because I love him so much. Here's to taking it one day at a time, the good with the bad. And don't worry, I am also recovering well from my heating vent bonk to the face and the surprisingly sturdy slap in the eye by Taylor. Next time I will just g...

The Real Santa...with Reindeer

Caleb's present from Grandma Chardan and Grandpa Bruce

Caleb loves this toy. I am posting this for my parents' sake because they wanted to know what we got our kids with the Christmas money they sent for them. and urrg. I keep pushing Enter on the keyboard and it keeps publishing my post prematurely.
Just a few things: Caleb is concerned that the factories are smoking caffeine. Taylor is screaming at the top of his lungs. Josh passed his Professional Engineer licensing test. Julie, though sick still, is doing a little better. And you people who all have professional family pictures... good for you.

The Christmas Sitting

10 week appointment

Okay, it is a baby for sure! This is what it looks like. We saw it waving and head bopping.

Sorry for the absence...

But I am sick. I have been for five straight weeks. It could be chronic stomach flu. . . or a baby.

Some fall stuff

My two sisters Josh at our Black Family Annual Retreat. This year we stayed in the Red Lion downtown and reviewed all the great plans we made the previous two years. I didn't put any pictures of myself at the retreat because I ended up being sick. But as Jonathan said in the comments, I guess Josh looks a little "dead" himself. Really, it was an action shot or something like that.

My kid is not only cute, but a genius...

This is my new series on Taylor Talk. (Let's just get this genius documented) I will be posting a few different segments showing Taylor talking and signing. In the pictures you may notice the shoes over his jamjams. This was his choice for the photo shoot. He rather likes wearing lots of clothes in video shots...Ooops! I guess I shouldn't have got him in his nuddy pants. By the way, you'll have to excuse my British terms. I have been reading Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging, and On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God, both British teen books that are silly, a little crude, and make me laugh out loud. Now on with the show:
