Andrew Bird Concert

This past Wednesday we attended the Andrew Bird concert here in SLC. We really enjoyed the music. We did have to stand for many hours. Not an easy task for either one of us. Me because I am pregnant and Josh because of what he calls "his old football injury." (One of the nerves in his leg was injured several years ago and it becomes painful and/or numb in places.) It was also hard to hold up the guy behind me, who for a while was putting most of his weight on me. We were back to back. When I finally couldn't hold him and my baby up any longer I asked him to please stop. He sarcastically said , "oh, I didn't know! I will definitely try to avoid this in the future." Later he said, "sorry I am bumping you. I am trying not to touch you. I just have friends on every side of me." I'll tell you this- not on my side. Dang popular intellectuals. I only like lonesome ones.
The band was wearing suits and ties during the concert, which gave it more class than the videos I posted. He was a fantastic violinist and a not-to-be rivaled whistler to be sure.

We enjoyed his performance of this song the most.

I just got done reading my brother's blog about their experiences at the Andrew Bird concert (and a near miss with some street crime). It sounds like a great concert...I really like his music, although I didn't realize he did the "live looping" which is really cool. I also love the "Sepia Sunday" pictures. You look so good Julie, and your boys are so adorable.

Julie, I think it was really rude that you wouldn't help support the guy behind you.

Your preggo picture is cute. I kinda forgot when I saw you yesterday that you were pregnant. You looked great!
