a small funny

Caleb has been looking everywhere for his "camo-floss."

everybody dies

Caleb was discussing with Josh recently the passing of President Hinckley: Caleb: The bad guys got him, that's why he died. Josh: No, he died because he was very old. Caleb: ? Josh: E veryone dies sometime Caleb. Even we will die sometime. Caleb: Well, (in the voice of Shaggy from Scooby Doo) Like, you can COUNT me OUT!

Movies and sass

Have I gotten myself stuck in the, "movie babysitter" rut? I asked Caleb if he knew how to play anymore. He said no. I asked if he would rather work. His reply was (add in snotty girl head roll and tone) "Yes, I want to work... work on getting my movie on !"

That is not a toy/stick/towel/box

Caleb noticed Taylor had his ninja turtle in his mouth this afternoon so he walked over and pulled it out saying, "TAYLOR THIS IS NOT A TOY!" That loosely reminds me of Caleb's favorite book these days, Not a Stick . This book explores the imagination and makes me feel guilty for stifling it. Recently when I ask Caleb why he won't take his towel off or put down the favored 3" x 24" box, he replies, "IT'S MY NOT-A-TOWEL/IT'S MY NOT-A-BOX" **** Caleb has a bedtime routine written out on a piece of paper (in pictures) hanging on his wall. Caleb must follow this routine in its exact order and after each item is completed, we have to go through the list until he comes to something he hasn't done. To signify if he has done it he barks, to signify that he has not he loudly growls. I know this has something to do with Josh. (the OCD list and the barking) It is a major part of the bedtime routine. Example: Have we put on PJs? (bark) Have yo...

Taylor Tuesday

So it seems that everytime I want to post something about Taylor it is a Tuesday. I suppose I could designate the day, but that would be commitment. Taylor loves to stick his tongue out all of the time. One of my less favorite tricks is food on tongue on mom. You will notice cute Addison not crying at my house. Sorry Betsy.

A New Era

Why is my 3 year old freaking out that the internet isn't working?

Race for the Cure

Today I ran my first 5-K. It was the Susan B. Kommen Race for the Cure. I ran in memory of my Grandma King. * (She died 18 years ago on Mother's Day of breast cancer) I made good time for me (32 min). * (My awesome friend Jenni Moody made 20 pink ribbon headbands for the event even though she moved to Denver before the race. I gave out a few at the race and the rest women in my ward wore. Everyone was touched by the gesture. Thanks Jenni!) *text added on May 11th

Happy Mother's Day Week to Me

Pres. Monson wiggling his ears

Ann M. Dibb, President Monson's daughter and counselor in the Gen YW presidency, came to our stake's women's conference on Saturday. She informed us that you could see Pres. Monson wiggling his ears on You Tube. (It is a talk from the Priesthood session) My friend Betsy thinks I spend all my time on the internet, and so requested that I must be the one to post this very cute video. He wiggles at 1:30
