Julie's Life With Boys

I think this is the first time Caleb (3 1/2 years old)has even been sledding. It is also the first time Taylor has, but he is only 6 months old. We are playing in front Nate and Kelley's house. The video includes cousins Kanon, Joseph, Adam and Ian and uncles Nate and Ben. Cousin Amelia had already gone inside before I got to take a picture. Caleb had a great time!

Just before Christmas Josh used his Bonus to buy a piano. We are so excited! I love listening to Josh (and Caleb) play.

My sister Jennifer and her husband Jim came to visit us just before Christmas and they gave us a little bag of MandM's. I thought that was kind of weird. Then I realized they were blue and pink and that they had a message. It said "What name if" and "Boy or Girl". She is going to have a baby! We are so excited. But then what do you do with the specialized candy? We feel too bad to eat them. We had them on our Christmas tree for a while and now they are on our bookshelf. hmmm... so I thought I would have Caleb tell us what they are for. He also gives his official guess on whether the baby will be a boy or a girl. Now Caleb can finally eat some! Congrats Jen & Jim!

Josh's New Year's Birthday was the perfect time to have an Avatar birthday party. We celebrated by having a sleep over at Josh's parents' house with brothers, sisters, and nephews (and sleeping Anna-neice). After having homemade pizza for dinner we handed out party favors in Chinese take out boxes, which included homemade fortune cookies (Melissa and David, we forgot to cook our misfortune cookies for another 30 minutes last time!) noise makers and candy. We also played party games having to do with Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. We finished out the night by watching a few episodes of Avatar... and of course celebrating the New Year at midnight with as much noise as possible. Josh is the big 3-0

Caleb has some serious ninja abilities. I never got a picture of this, but at Christmas time Caleb wanted to make a "ninjabread" house. After my brief study of Japanese architecture I made a pattern to build it. It took way too long to put it together and by the time Christmas was here, it was not finished. We were all a little pooped from the Holiday and so it was chucked. Too bad, maybe next year.

We can't stop singing this song and Caleb can't stop saying "can't stop, can't stop, can't stop, can't stop, can't stop the beat.

It's almost a rule in our house that Caleb eat a spoonful of peanut butter in the mornings. It is based on theories of "priming the pump" and the glycemic index. Let's just say it is as good as medicine for our dear sweet Caleb in the morning. This is a picture of Christmas morning peanut butter medicine. We all had a spoonful and a glass of orange juice before presents. Those two items might have cancelled each other out!

Wow! I just found this movie of Josh willing this concrete into place. Way to go Josh! I love you honey. If Josh so desires, he may comment on what his project was about.

Caleb told me that he can't marry me. I asked him why, expecting him to say something like, "because you are married to dad." He said, "because I am not a stru-tur-al en-gin-eer." Josh doesn't make it onto the blog a whole lot, so here's his chance. These are some pictures of Josh working on his thesis project. He's in the white shirt.

My free trial for Muvees.com ends today. No more fancy movies. Though Josh doesn't think the program is that great. It was fun. I thought I would mention that we haven't had a digital camera for one year now. Somehow I have managed to get adequate pictures during that time. We live a digital life style, as Josh puts it, but no digital camera. Here's to the future!

Caleb's first Christmas was exciting. We spent Christmas in Corpus Christi, Texas. It snowed on Christmas Eve and Christmas for the first time in over 100 years!

I am using a trial version of video editing software. It is kind of fun, but please excuse the videos I will be posting during my trial time. (Two weeks left)
