Where were we in Texas?

Austin Skyline We flew into Austin, TX. (Travis County) A place we know fairly well since we lived there for two years while Josh went to graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin. We stayed with our friends, the Beckers the night we flew in and the night before we flew out. My parents live three hours down the road (Live Oak County). Besides my parents, my grandma, my aunt Carol and her son Daniel, and my aunt Barbara and her husband live on the same 50 acres of farm land. Their address is Mathis, TX (incidentally Mathis proper is in San Patricio County) but they live closer to Beeville, TX (Bee County) where they attend the Beeville branch. My dad is also involved in a community chorale there. We spent three days out at "the land" but traveled to Corpus Christi each night (Nueces County). Beeville courthouse My brother Carl and his wife Liz and their three boys, as well as my brother Andrew and his wife Katie (with baby on the way) live in Corpus Christi. Addi...

"The Land" - Texas #1

Our family finally made it to Texas! These are a few pictures of the land that my parents live on. Taylor loved the "goggies" or dogs. There was also an above the ground swimming pool that Caleb enjoyed.

Andrew Bird Concert

This past Wednesday we attended the Andrew Bird concert here in SLC. We really enjoyed the music. We did have to stand for many hours. Not an easy task for either one of us. Me because I am pregnant and Josh because of what he calls "his old football injury." (One of the nerves in his leg was injured several years ago and it becomes painful and/or numb in places.) It was also hard to hold up the guy behind me, who for a while was putting most of his weight on me. We were back to back. When I finally couldn't hold him and my baby up any longer I asked him to please stop. He sarcastically said , "oh, I didn't know! I will definitely try to avoid this in the future." Later he said, "sorry I am bumping you. I am trying not to touch you. I just have friends on every side of me." I'll tell you this- not on my side. Dang popular intellectuals. I only like lonesome ones. The band was wearing suits and ties during the concert, which gave it m...

Sepia Sunday

I am now five months pregnant.

And now for the verdict....

Jammies and daddies

The Snowman pjs were gifts from my sister Jen and her husband Jim. We all got some. I absolutely love them on Taylor. Incidentally the outfit Caleb is wearing is also from Jen & Jim. Taylor's are from cousin Ian.
